Community VISION is proud to join organisations across the UK in celebrating Volunteers’ Week 2026, recognising and thanking the incredible volunteers who make such a positive difference in our communities every day.
Now in its 42nd year, Volunteers’ Week runs from Monday 1 June to Sunday 7 June 2026 and provides an opportunity to celebrate the dedication, passion, and impact of volunteers across the country. Since 1984, the annual campaign has highlighted the vital role volunteers play in supporting charities, community groups, and public services.
Volunteers’ Week is led by the UK Volunteering Forum, a partnership between the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), Volunteer Scotland, the Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA), and Volunteer Now in Northern Ireland.
The UK Volunteering Forum said:
“Volunteers bring a richness to organisations across the country. There is no better time to recognise the diversity of our volunteers and celebrate the difference that volunteering makes than during Volunteers’ Week. Without volunteers many charities simply could not function, with so many people giving up their time and going above and beyond. The week is a chance for all of us to show just how vital they are to charities and communities everywhere.”
As we celebrate Volunteers’ Week 2026, we extend our heartfelt thanks to every volunteer who supports the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector. Your dedication helps make a real and lasting difference to local people and communities.
Happy Volunteers’ Week! 💙💚
