📢 11,500 companies struck off the Companies House register after registered office address crackdown

The joint operation between Companies House, the National Crime Agency, HM Revenue & Customs, The Insolvency Service, the Financial Conduct Authority, the Office for Professional Body Anti-Money Laundering Supervision, Home Office, and UK police targeted high-risk companies believed to be enabling criminality in the UK and overseas.

This contributes to wider cross-government efforts to prevent the abuse of UK companies by criminals. Companies House is playing a greater role in helping to disrupt this type of activity and reduce economic crime, and we’ll continue to support our law enforcement and regulatory partners in identifying, targeting and stopping abuse of the company register.
