The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government has announced a new Ending Homelessness in Communities Fund, aimed at strengthening frontline support for people who are at risk of, or currently experiencing, homelessness.
The fund is specifically designed to support smaller voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations with an annual income of under £5 million.
A total of £37 million will be distributed over three years, with funding focused on practical, community-based solutions that:
- Expand local support to prevent and reduce rough sleeping
- Improve or modernise existing day services through additional staff, facilities, partnership working and service development
- Help individuals move towards independent living and reduce the risk of returning to rough sleeping
The programme is intended to strengthen local networks and ensure people receive earlier intervention and more coordinated support within their communities.
Applications for the current funding round must be submitted by midday on 31 March.
Full guidance, eligibility criteria and application details are available on the government’s fund prospectus webpage.
If your organisation is delivering frontline homelessness or rough sleeping support, this could be a significant opportunity to scale or strengthen your impact.
