Community groups across the UK can now benefit from a new funding programme aimed at tackling climate change and supporting greener communities. The Co-op Green Opportunities Fund has been launched to help local organisations deliver projects that make a positive environmental impact.
The fund is designed to support initiatives that promote sustainability, reduce carbon emissions, improve green spaces, and encourage communities to take practical action on climate issues. This could include projects such as community gardens, recycling initiatives, energy-saving schemes, and environmental education activities.
Grants are expected to prioritise grassroots organisations and projects that demonstrate clear local impact, particularly those engaging volunteers and bringing communities together around environmental action.
⏰ Deadline: Applications are open now, with the current funding round expected to close on Sunday 7 July 2026. (Applicants are encouraged to apply early, as timelines may be subject to change.)
