Funding Available to Support Work with Ex-Offenders and Young People at Risk

The Weavers’ Company Benevolent Fund is inviting applications from smaller UK registered charities and CIOs delivering impactful work with ex-offenders, young offenders, and young people at risk of offending.

The Fund prioritises projects that:

  • Help ex-offenders develop practical skills and confidence to secure sustainable employment
  • Support groups within the criminal justice sector that may struggle to attract funding

Funding is available through two routes:

  • Small Grants Programme – awards of up to £5,000
  • Main Grants Programme – no fixed upper limit (awards are determined based on need and impact)

Eligible organisations must have an annual income of under £5 million and clearly demonstrate measurable outcomes in line with the Fund’s objectives.

The next application deadline is 12 March, with funding decisions expected in June.

Full eligibility guidance and application details can be found on the Fund’s website.

If your organisation is working to break cycles of offending and create brighter futures, this could be a valuable opportunity to secure support.
