GOV.UK One Login: A key step towards digital equity

Every day, millions across the UK are locked out of vital services – not because they do not qualify, but because they cannot get through the front door. Low digital confidence, limited access to devices, and complex verification processes continue to exclude people from the support they need.

The Digital Poverty Alliance has partnered with the GOV.UK One Login team to explore what happens when that front door is redesigned – simplified, secured, and opened to all.

Join us for a free, one-hour webinar on Tuesday 29 July at 1pm.

GOV.UK One Login is the government’s new, unified sign-in and identity verification system. Already used by over nine million people, it provides secure access to essential services – from DBS checks to apprenticeship information – through a single, trusted login.

But no digital system closes the divide on its own. It takes people, networks, and organisations working together to make access real.

This session will offer a clear demonstration of the platform, insight into how it supports greater inclusion, and practical ways your organisation can help communities make use of it.

If you work with underserved groups, deliver frontline support, or care about equitable access, this conversation is for you.
