Macmillan launches CARE Grants to tackle unfairness in cancer care

Macmillan Cancer Support has opened applications for its CARE Grants Programme, offering £50,000–£150,000 to community organisations across the UK to tackle unfairness in cancer care. The programme aims to fund projects that challenge existing systems and create lasting change for people facing the greatest barriers to care.

CARE stands for Culture, Agency, Respect and Equity, and funding will support community-led projects under three themes: Cultural Responsiveness in Cancer Care, Shared Decision-Making, and Dementia-Friendly Cancer Care.

Voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations are eligible to apply, with a closing date of 23 January 2026.

Information webinars are running in December 2025 and January 2026, and support is available to help organisations apply.
