Next week is Safeguarding Adults Week 2025 – Prevention: Acting before abuse!

Safeguarding Adults Week 2025 is all about prevention.

Led by the Ann Craft Trust, Safeguarding Adults Week aims to encourage people to take a closer look at their approach to prevention. We want individuals and organisations to ensure that prevention is embedded in their policies and procedures.

Throughout the week, we will be sharing a series of key messages, training opportunities and launching new local resources.

Free* Two Day Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training: 19 and 20 November 

North Lincolnshire Public Health are teaming up with Living Works to host a two day ‘Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training’.

This face to face training will take place at The Baths Hall and is an evidence-based suicide intervention model with the aim to intervene and help prevent the immediate risk of suicide, giving people the skills and tools they need to confidently support someone in suicidal crisis. Free* Gambling Related Harm Awareness Training – Chapter One: 18 November

The aim of this online session is to provide you with the knowledge and tools you need to begin the conversation around gambling related harms. This training of the gambling industry and its influence has people with lived experience at the centre.

Throughout the session, we will explore:

  • What is gambling?
  • Who gambles?
  • What are gambling-related harms?
  • What are the impacts of gambling-related harms?
  • How to begin the conversation
  • Where people can go for support
  •  Explores a spectrum of gambling related harms up to and including gambling related suicide.
