News from Active Humber:
Ensure young men and boys have the support, connections and confidence to navigate life’s challenges.
This week Team Up begins, a national week of action led by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport dedicated to rallying behind young men and boys, helping to ensure they have the support, connection, and confidence to navigate life’s challenges.
Across the UK, too many young men are struggling alone. In today’s fast-paced, digital world, opportunities to build friendships and feel connected are disappearing. Without positive spaces, young men are vulnerable to isolation, poor mental health, and harmful influences.
Team Up brings together organisations, communities, and grassroots sports clubs to shine a spotlight on initiatives that help young men. From community pitches to stadium stands, this movement will harness the passion of fans and the reach of major organisations to share the message, normalise conversations about mental health, and signpost opportunities for connection.
How you can get involved:
- Signposting to resources, events and programmes directed towards boys and young men.
- Creating and sharing bespoke content on your channels using Team Upbranding and messaging.
- Re-sharing Team Upassets and messaging, click here to see the toolkit.
- Including campaign messaging and branding in your marketing materials (e.g. newsletters and event/ match-day programmes and digital screens).
- Hosting events.
Together, we can give young men the opportunities they need to thrive.
Join us and Team Up. Because everyone deserves a team behind them.
