Understanding fire risk: new resources for carers and support staff

As part of the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) Know the Fire Risk campaign, we are sharing new resources to help reduce fire risks associated with the use of emollient creams. These creams are commonly used in the care of people with chronic skin conditions.

The following free resources are now available to download and share:

• Carers’ risk assessment checklist – a practical tool to support fire risk assessments in home care settings

• Campaign leaflet – designed to raise awareness among carers and those receiving care
