Voluntary Sector Celebration Event to Spotlight Youth Strategy and Local Collaboration

Voluntary organisations and partners working with young people are invited to attend a special celebration and engagement event taking place on Tuesday 17 March at Beverley Racecourse.

The event will bring together organisations from across the voluntary, community and public sectors to explore the future of youth services in the East Riding, highlight the voices of young people and strengthen partnership working.

A key focus of the day will be the presentation of the National Youth Strategy – Youth Matters, alongside insights from SEND Voice and opportunities for organisations to help shape the next steps for youth provision across the area.

Hear from National and Local Speakers

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from a range of keynote speakers working at both national and regional level, including representatives from:

  • The National Youth Agency
  • KIDS Charity
  • Yorkshire and Humber Youth Work Unit
  • The Young Mayor

These speakers will share insights into youth work, inclusion, and the importance of collaboration in supporting young people.

Interactive Workshops and Youth-Led Sessions

The event will also feature a number of interactive workshops designed to encourage discussion, partnership and practical action. Sessions will include:

  • Co-designing an East Riding Youth Network
  • Youth-Led Democracy Café – helping shape local priorities
  • Workforce development in youth work pathways
  • Goole Youth Action showcase, led by young people highlighting their work in the community

Opportunities for Organisations

Organisations attending the event will also have the opportunity to bring a stand and showcase their work, helping to build connections with other partners and highlight support available to young people across the region.
