The UK Government has announced a new £132.5 million Every Child Can programme, designed to ensure that all children and young people have access to high-quality enrichment opportunities, regardless of where they live or their background.
The programme aims to:
✅ Halve the participation gap between underserved young people and their peers
✅ Fund activities during weekends and school holidays
✅ Support access to sport, arts, music, drama, nature and life skills opportunities
✅ Help tackle isolation by encouraging community involvement and real-world connections
The initiative recognises the important role that enrichment activities play in building confidence, resilience, wellbeing and essential life skills for young people.
Further details, including the new Enrichment Framework, are now available.
