The North Lincolnshire Council Plan sets out the key priorities for the area. The Better Care Fund (BCF) supports these priorities by enabling preventative approaches, promoting independence, strengthening community resilience, and reducing reliance on higher-level health and social care services.
The funding provided will support communities where support is needed most.
What is the purpose of the fund?
- Prevention and early intervention.
- Helping people remain independent, safe and well in their communities.
- Improving physical and mental wellbeing.
- Enabling communities to connect and support one another.
- Reducing social isolation and loneliness through local community action.
- Reducing or delaying the need for formal care services.
- Strengthen neighbourhood resilience and build community capacity.
The fund aims to achieve the following outcomes:
- Increased local participation in preventative or wellbeing-focused activity.
- Improved community connections, confidence and resilience.
- Enhanced wellbeing for participants.
- Reduction in isolation or improved community belonging.
- A contribution to BCF outcomes and priorities.
Grants are available up to £5,000.
