Cadent Centre for Warmth Project
What is the Cadent Centre for Warmth Project?
The Cadent Centre for Warmth Project is a partnership initiative led by Community VISION that brings together voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise organisations across North Lincolnshire to support people experiencing fuel poverty and other vulnerabilities.
Running through a network of community venues, the project provides practical energy efficiency advice, income maximisation and debt support, carbon monoxide safety education, Priority Services Register (PSR) promotion, free energy-saving measures and slow cookers, while training local Energy Champions to help residents stay warm, safe and financially resilient. The project aims to reduce inequalities by helping people lower their energy costs, increase household income, improve home safety and access the support they are entitled to.
Phase 1:
Community VISION is delighted to celebrate the success of Phase 1 of the Cadent Centre for Warmth Project, delivered in partnership with Cadent and a network of community organisations across North Lincolnshire.
Led by Community VISION, the project brought together a wide range of local partners to provide warm, welcoming community spaces where residents could access practical support, trusted advice and vital information during the winter months.

The project focused on four key priorities:
- Reducing loneliness and isolation by providing warm, welcoming spaces where people could socialise and access support.
- Helping residents maximise their income through benefits advice and financial support.
- Improving home energy efficiency through practical advice on saving energy, tackling damp and condensation, and promoting slow cooking.
- Raising awareness of carbon monoxide safety and providing free carbon monoxide alarms.
Between November 2024 and 31 March 2026, the project achieved an incredible impact across North Lincolnshire:
- 81,388 visits to Centre for Warmth venues.
- 1,177 carbon monoxide alarms distributed.
- 6,476 carbon monoxide safety conversations and 3,623 safety leaflets provided.
- Carbon monoxide awareness messages reached more than 277,800 people online.
- 5,107 people received slow cooker advice and 1,670 slow cookers were distributed.
- 4,686 people received energy-saving advice, with a further 2,898 receiving support around damp and condensation.
- 3,508 energy efficiency leaflets distributed, with online content reaching over 162,300 people.
- 7,043 conversations about the Priority Services Register (PSR), resulting in 1,231 successful sign-ups and 3,357 information leaflets distributed.
- PSR awareness campaigns generated more than 221,000 online impressions and engagements.
- 2,080 people received income maximisation support, helping residents secure an impressive £3,302,332 in additional income.
- The project also helped manage £974 of debt for local residents.
These achievements demonstrate the strength of partnership working and the difference that trusted community organisations can make in supporting residents through the cost-of-living crisis. By combining practical energy advice, financial support and welcoming community spaces, the Cadent Centre for Warmth Project has helped thousands of people stay warm, safe and connected while improving their financial resilience.
