Historic England has launched Round 3 of its History in the Making programme, offering grants of up to £15,000 for projects that enable underrepresented young people aged 13–25 to explore, celebrate and share hidden or overlooked local histories.
Projects should be co-created with young people and delivered outside of school hours, using creative approaches such as murals, theatre, podcasts, digital media, walking trails, or other artistic activities to bring local heritage to life.
The programme particularly aims to support young people living in areas of social deprivation and ensure that the stories that matter to them are preserved for future generations.
🗓️ Application deadline: 24 July 2026 (23:59)
