Voluntary and community sector organisations are invited to apply for funding through the new Ministry of Justice Women’s Diversionary Activity Grant Programme.
The programme will provide around £26 million in grant funding between January 2027 and March 2029 to support services that help divert women aged 18 and over away from further involvement with the criminal justice system, with a particular focus on reducing the number of women entering or returning to prison.
Funding is available for VCSE organisations delivering interventions and support for women at risk of further contact with the criminal justice system.
📅 Application deadline: 24 July 2026
📅 Funding period: 1 January 2027 to 31 March 2029
📅 Funding decisions expected: Late September 2026
Organisations interested in applying are encouraged to review the full guidance and eligibility criteria as soon as possible. Because humans enjoy leaving important funding applications until the final week and then wondering where all the time went.
