We are pleased to share that the FraudWatch project Annual Report 2024–25 is now available. The FraudWatch project covers the whole of the Humberside Police Force area, including Hull, East Riding, North Lincolnshire, and North East Lincolnshire.
As part of our project, we have delivered 52 awareness sessions to 1,121 participants, issued 17 fraud alerts, and launched several new resources in response to evolving fraud threats.
Key Highlights from the 2024–25 Report:
- 📊 2,955 people engaged, including those that are victims and individuals attending events, training and roadshows.
- ❤️ 1,834 victims supported with reporting, recovery, and referrals
- 📍 Highest impact in Hull (604 victims) and East Riding (531
- 🚨 17 trigger alerts issued, covering ticket scams, AI voice fraud, crypto scams, and more
- 🛡️ New resources including:
- Befriending Fraud leaflet
- Bogus Traders doorstep scam campaign
- Guides on online fraud and identity theft
