CERT Downholme Trust Aspirations Fund – Grants for Young People

The CERT Downholme Trust Aspirations Fund is offering grants to help marginalised young people aged 14–18 overcome disadvantage and access opportunities that could support their future education, employment or career.

The fund is available to eligible young people who live or are educated in disadvantaged neighbourhoods within Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, North East Lincolnshire and North Lincolnshire.

Grants of up to £2,000 are available, although trustees may consider higher awards at their discretion. Funding is intended to act as a funder of last resort, where suitable support is not available through existing public funding.

Funding can support costs such as training and course fees, books and small equipment, apprenticeship travel, coaching or mentoring, professional assessments, travel and accommodation to develop opportunities, and costs associated with entrepreneurship or starting an enterprise.

The fund is for individual young people rather than organisations, community groups, sports clubs or schools. Applications are considered by the CERT Downholme Trust Board of Trustees at its monthly meetings. Successful awards must normally be used within one year.
