Good Neighbour schemes are run by local volunteers who offer simple, everyday help to others in their community, things like shopping, dog walking, gardening, or just sharing a friendly chat.
Each scheme is unique and flexible, making it easy to get involved. Volunteers don’t replace professionals, but they do make a big difference with small acts of kindness.
Humber and Wolds Rural Action are looking to support existing schemes in East Riding and help start new ones where needed. If you run a scheme or want to volunteer, they’d love to hear from you!
