Community VISION is inviting businesses across the East Riding of Yorkshire to become corporate partners in its Digital Inclusion 4 All project, helping to ensure that more people can access the digital skills, equipment and support they need.
Through its new Connected for Good corporate partnership programme, Community VISION is seeking support from local businesses to help sustain and develop digital inclusion activities from April 2027.
As more everyday services move online, having access to digital technology and the confidence to use it is increasingly important. From booking appointments and accessing essential services to applying for jobs and keeping in touch with family, digital skills play an important part in everyday life.
However, many people still face barriers to getting online, particularly those living in rural communities, older residents and people who lack access to suitable devices or digital support.
Supporting Digital Inclusion Across the East Riding
Community VISION’s Digital Inclusion 4 All project works with local organisations, community groups and volunteers to help people overcome these barriers.
Through a growing network of community Digital Hubs, the project provides opportunities for residents to develop their digital skills, build confidence and access practical support in welcoming, familiar settings.
The project also supports volunteers and community organisations to develop their capacity to provide digital assistance, helping to create a more sustainable network of local support.
With the support of local businesses, Community VISION aims to continue and expand this work beyond the project’s current funding arrangements.
Become a Connected for Good Partner
The Connected for Good programme offers businesses of different sizes the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to their local communities.
There are four levels of financial partnership available:
- Strategic Partner – £10,000 per year: Helping to provide long-term support for the programme, with prominent partnership recognition and opportunities for closer involvement.
- Digital Champion – £5,000 per year: Supporting the continued development of digital inclusion activities and community-based support.
- Digital Partner – £3,000 per year: Contributing towards the delivery of digital skills activities and the development of local Digital Hubs.
- Project Supporter – £1,000 per year: Providing valuable support towards the ongoing delivery of the project.
Corporate partners can benefit from opportunities for recognition, project updates, community engagement and employee volunteering, depending on their level of involvement.
Businesses may also be able to support the project through donations of suitable equipment, professional expertise, connectivity solutions or staff volunteering.
Making a Difference in Your Local Community
Connected for Good is about building relationships between businesses and the communities they serve.
Whether a business is based in Beverley, Bridlington, Goole, Driffield, Hornsea or elsewhere in the East Riding, there may be opportunities to support digital inclusion activities in its local area.
By getting involved, businesses can demonstrate their commitment to social responsibility while helping local people develop the skills and confidence needed to participate in an increasingly digital world.
Community VISION is particularly keen to hear from businesses interested in supporting local communities, developing employee volunteering opportunities or contributing towards measurable social impact.
