- Domestic Abusers to be Marked and Tracked in Boost to Victims’ Safety
From 5th October 2026, courts are required to formally record when an offence has involved domestic abuse. This new measure creates a clear record that can be shared across police, probation and prison services, helping agencies to better identify, monitor and manage perpetrators, recognise patterns of repeat offending, and strengthen protections for victims and survivors. The changes form part of wider government work to improve outcomes for victims and tackle violence against women and girls.
