In collaboration with Sport England, Good Things Foundation is carrying out research to understand experiences of digital barriers to engaging with exercise and physical activity, and how we can reduce them. As part of our research, we are inviting organisations in England – and the people they support – to share their perspectives in October and November. You don’t have to be currently delivering exercise / sport services, but might be interested in doing this in the future.
You can get involved by hosting an in-person research visit, where we would speak to you and some of the people you support about experiences of digital in/exclusion and access to exercise / physical activity. We can offer compensation to hubs for hosting research visits, and vouchers to people with lived experience for participation in interviews.
There are also opportunities for staff from organisations who do currently deliver exercise / physical activity and digital support, to join an online focus group, to share your experiences.
Your insights will help us deepen our understanding of digital barriers to physical activity, and generate recommendations for Sport England and the wider sector to help address these inequalities.
If you are based in England and are interested in supporting this research, we’d love to hear from you! Please email us by 2nd October to register your interest: research@goodthingsfoundation.org.
