Have Your Say: Help Shape Mental Health and Substance Use Research

Researchers from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health Research (CAMHR) at the University of Hull are looking for young people, parents and carers with lived experience of substance use and mental health issues to help shape future research.

CAMHR is working to improve support and care pathways for young people, particularly those who may struggle to access the help they need. The research team wants lived experience to be at the heart of this work, helping to ensure future research and services reflect what young people and families actually need.

There are flexible ways to get involved, including sharing ideas, joining discussions, reviewing research materials and providing feedback. Paid involvement is available and travel expenses can also be covered. Parents and carers are particularly encouraged to share their perspectives, with rewards available for their time and contribution.
