People across the region are being invited to share their views to help shape a new 10-year cancer plan for Humber and North Yorkshire.
The Humber and North Yorkshire Cancer Alliance is carrying out engagement activities and gathering feedback from communities, patients, professionals and the public to help design cancer services for the future. A short online survey is now available for anyone who would like to contribute their views.
The regional plan will support the ambitions of the national cancer strategy, which aims to improve cancer outcomes, enhance patient experience and ultimately save more lives over the next decade. It also aligns with wider NHS reforms that focus on three key shifts in healthcare:
- Moving care from hospital to community
- Moving services from analogue to digital
- Moving healthcare from sickness to prevention
The feedback gathered through the survey will help inform how cancer services are prevented, diagnosed, treated and supported across Humber and North Yorkshire over the next ten years.
Who can take part?
The Cancer Alliance is encouraging responses from a wide range of people, including:
- Current or past cancer patients and carers
- People working in cancer services
- Those working in healthcare or community settings
- Members of the general public
Hearing from people with different experiences and perspectives will help ensure the future plan reflects the needs of communities across the region.
