Have Your Say on the Future of National Lottery Funding

Community groups, charities and residents are being encouraged to take part in a new UK Government call for evidence to help shape the future of National Lottery Good Causes funding.

Since 1994, National Lottery players have helped raise more than £53 billion for over 680,000 projects across the UK, supporting everything from community centres and youth projects to heritage, sport and the arts. The Government is now asking for views on how future funding should be distributed, ensuring it reflects the priorities of communities today and is easier to access.

The consultation is open to both individuals and organisations aged 16 and over. Participants are invited to share their views on:

• What matters most to their communities.
• Which types of projects should receive funding.
• How funding can better reach areas of greatest need.
• Ways to simplify the funding process and reduce bureaucracy.

The consultation closes at 12 noon on Wednesday 23 September 2026 and takes around 15–20 minutes to complete.
