As Halloween approaches, Humberside Police have shared a message on the My Community Alert platform reminding residents that not everyone wishes to take part in trick-or-treating this year.
To help people feel safe and comfortable in their homes, they have shared a “No Trick or Treaters” poster that can be displayed in a window or door. The poster politely asks visitors to respect the household’s wishes and avoid knocking or calling during Halloween festivities.
They are encouraging everyone to be considerate of neighbours, particularly the elderly, vulnerable, or those who simply prefer a quieter evening.
You can download the poster on this page.
