Interfaith Week 2025

North Lincolnshire is coming together to celebrate Interfaith Week 2025 from Sunday 9th to Sunday 16th November, with a week-long programme of events designed to build understanding, connection, and unity across communities.

The week begins with an Opening Celebration at the Guru Nanak Sikh Temple (9 Nov), followed by a Civic Prayer Breakfast bringing together faith leaders, local representatives, and children to share reflections on faith (10 Nov).

On Tuesday 11th, there’s a focus on wellbeing with Suicide Awareness & Mental Health Workshops, supporting communities to talk openly and compassionately about mental health.

Midweek events encourage exploration and dialogue, including “Open Doors, Open Conversations, Open Hearts” (12 Nov), where visitors can step inside local places of worship and learn more about different faith traditions. On Thursday 13th, the Community Café at St Lawrence’s Academy offers a relaxed space for conversation, refreshments, and discovering interfaith projects.

The celebrations culminate on Friday 14th with the UNITED: Strength in Diversity Interfaith Debate and Art Competition, showcasing the creativity and voices of young people and celebrating unity in diversity.

From shared meals and open conversations to creative expression and community action, Interfaith Week is a powerful reminder of the strength that comes from understanding, respect, and shared humanity.
