Join the Humberside Police Independent Advisory Group – Make a Difference in Your Community.
Humberside Police are looking for passionate individuals to join their Independent Advisory Group (IAG) – a diverse panel of community members who work with the police to offer independent advice, challenge thinking, and help shape better policing.
What is an IAG?
An IAG is a group of volunteers from all walks of life who provide honest feedback and insight on how policing impacts their communities. The aim is to build trust, improve transparency, and ensure that policing is fair and inclusive for everyone.
Why does it matter?
IAGs play a vital role in helping police forces stay connected to the communities they serve. By offering independent perspectives, members help identify community concerns, highlight potential blind spots, and ensure that policing decisions are informed, fair, and culturally sensitive. Your input can influence how we respond to critical incidents, shape local policing priorities, and improve public confidence in the police. It’s a real opportunity to be heard and to help shape a safer, more inclusive community for all.
Meetings
Meetings take place bi-monthly and are held at Melton Police Station
