North Lincolnshire Council is launching a public consultation on Local Government Reorganisation, and they would like to hear the views of local voluntary, community and grassroots groups – both from organisations and the people you support.
Local Government Reorganisation refers to potential changes in how councils across Greater Lincolnshire are structured and how local services are delivered in future. This could mean moving to a single unitary council across the area instead of having multiple district and county councils. The consultation is asking for views on what this could mean for communities, local decision-making, and public services.
We’re inviting you to an online session on Tuesday 6 August at 12 noon (via Microsoft Teams), where Wendy Lawtey, Assistant Director of Transformation, will give a short overview of the consultation and the reasons behind it.
There will also be time to talk through how groups and volunteers can help raise awareness, support people to have their say, and reflect your own organisational views.
We really hope you can join us – this is a chance for the voluntary and community sector to be part of shaping what happens next.
Please register your attendance by emailing Morgan Butler (morgan.butler@citizensadvicenlincs.org.uk), and we’ll send the Teams link ahead of the session.
