Menopaus’ull announces packed programme for World Menopause Month 2026

Neighbourhood Network’s Menopaus’ull Support Network is preparing for its most ambitious World Menopause Month programme yet, with a series of free events, activities and a new community theatre production taking place across Hull and the East Riding throughout October.

The programme aims to encourage open conversations about menopause, share practical information and support, and bring people together through community events and lived experiences.

The month begins with the Menopaus’ull Café at Druid Coffee & Bakes in Hull on Monday 5 October at 12.30pm, offering an informal opportunity to chat, connect and find support.

Menopause East Riding 2026 takes place at Toll Gavel Church, Beverley, on Saturday 10 October from 10.30am–1.30pm. The free event will feature speakers, demonstrations and activities covering women’s wellbeing in midlife, nutrition, dance, exercise and the wider role everyone can play in understanding menopause. No booking is required and partners, family and friends are welcome.

The programme then moves to Hull for Menopause Hull 2026, taking place on the ground floor of Princes Quay Shopping Centre on Saturday 17 October from 10.30am–2.30pm. Visitors can meet local services and businesses and take part in talks and demonstrations covering areas including skin and hair health, nutrition, herbal medicine, strength training and vaginal health.

The Hull event will also feature a demonstration of the MenoVest™ with Lesley Salem from Over the Bloody Moon, designed to simulate the experience of intense hot flushes and help others better understand some of the symptoms associated with menopause. Complimentary nail treatments from Hull College will also be available.

October will culminate with the launch of Things I Wish I’d Bloody Known, a new play developed in partnership with the University of Hull and inspired by the real stories of local women. Written by S. J. Dickenson and directed by Lucy Fielding, performances will take place at the Donald Roy Theatre, Gulbenkian Centre, University of Hull on Friday 23 October at 7pm and Saturday 24 October at 3pm and 7pm.

Tickets for the play are £5, while the main Menopause 2026 events are free to attend.
