NEW FRAUD REPORTS IN HULL, BEVERLEY AND DRIFFIELD – Trigger Fraud Alert #46 (September 2026)

Impersonation Fraud / Courier Fraud – Please pass onto Friends, Neighbours and Family.  

Humberside Police have advised that fraudsters are contacting victims in Humberside via telephone and are portraying to be police officers or banking officials.

The outline call used by fraudsters:

They are calling from the Bank, and the victim’s accounts are at risk from fraud by insiders at their bank which is being investigated by the police and need them to withdraw money from their bank and send it to an address so it can be checked to see if it is fake.

They are calling from the Police and the potential victim needs to withdraw their money as someone is trying to steal it, they were then told to return home with the money where it was likely to either be sent via post or collected.
