The UK government has launched the Common Ground Award, a new capital grant scheme to support voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations across England that work to foster social cohesion.
Under the scheme, a total of £1.7 million in capital funding is available for the 2025/26 financial year. Most successful applicants can receive up to £10,000, though higher amounts may be considered in exceptional cases. Grants can be used for new builds, refurbishments, expansions, or essential equipment, such as laptops or furniture.
Applications open on 13 October 2025 and close on 21 November 2025, with awards expected to be made in January 2026. Organisations seeking to strengthen cross-community connections through physical space or infrastructure could benefit.
Interested groups should check eligibility criteria and prepare applications ahead of the deadline.
