New Spotlight on the Dynamic Support Register (DSR)
We have published a new Spotlight on Practice briefing relating to the Dynamic Support Register on the NLSAB website.
The Dynamic Support Register is a list of children, young people, and adults with learning disabilities and/or autism who may need extra help to stay well in the community.
Its purpose is to make sure people get the right support at the right time, so they don’t reach crisis point or need to go into a mental health hospital.
The register helps health and care staff understand what support each person needs to stay safe, healthy, and supported at home.
This Spotlight provides readers with an overview of the following:
- What the Dynamic Support Register is
- How to make a referral if you feel someone should be on the DSR
- What happens after a referral has been made
- Further information and resources
The new ‘In the Spotlight – Dynamic Support Register’ can be accessed on the NLSAB website – Spotlight on the DSR
