With less than a year to go until pensions are brought within scope of inheritance tax, a major pension company has issued a warning about the increased risk of scams.
Fraudsters thrive on fear and uncertainty and they’re quick to exploit this type of rule change. Our pensions expert, Paul Davies, has shared what the new rules mean for your money and four pension scam warning signs to watch out for.
Delivery scam text message warning
Scam messages are engineered to steal your details to con you now or in the future. We’ve seen them appear on most messaging platforms, including SMS (text), WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger.
In particular, we’re warning about delivery scam messages claiming to be from couriers. Read up on what to look out for and how to spot and avoid scam texts.
